Practice Edge

Practice Edge

Practice Edge is like a giant mechanical robot for doctors and dentists. A metaphor! They provide software, hardware, locations and furniture, facts and figures – all the tools a good doctor needs to fight the crime of unhealthiness – that is to say, they make clinics. I think they can even provide villains.
Practice Edge is a brand new consulting company. They wanted a very simple site and I can respect that. A lot of people simply do not need an overweening content management system. I signed them up for tumblr and made a feed into their news section.
I went very minimal with the design so that it can grow with the company. Then I had some fun with jquery. I’ll spare you my epic ode to open source and jquery for the moment, but I will tell you a little secret: these days, web design is less about what you can code and more about who you know. If you want to web design, subscribe to a ton rss feeds and create a network of plugins. Three plugins from this site all came from one man: the mighty Chris Coyier!
