Who do you trust when you're in trouble? That was the central question I had when making this site for Will Griffith. If I was going through bankruptcy, divorce, etc, who would I prefer? I'd want someone pragmatic, not judgmental, who had a great plan. I made his site reflect those qualities.

This site was a delight. For small jobs, I don’t mind using a WordPress template. I cracked open the code, changed a couple of wordpress calls, switched a few wires around in jquery and had the site done in one night.

This is another case where the content determined the design. He has five sections that all have equal weight. I didn’t feel there was enough content to force a user to another page, but there was too much to treat it like a excerpt. After I settled on the sort of interaction I wanted, I searched out a theme that would get closest to what I was after, without a bunch of extra fluff.

Every musician I’ve met in Nashville goes to Salon Ya Ya – in fact, the salon should double as a record label. They are expanding, but not into music. They’ve got a new store opening soon and, I’m happy to say, a new website. I put together a quick wordpress site for them while we organize their content. Metaphorically, I’ve leaned their chair back into the sink and given their hair (web-content) a thorough washing. Now I’m cracking my knuckles and prepping my shears. The next step is to turn their site into the devastatingly user-friendly hair-related site in Nashville.

Quick Update: I have been working the last two weeks on three websites. One is a small static site that I pulled together for a friend. The two others are pretty involved wordpress sites. Once the domains are switched over, I’ll show them to you. In the meantime, I redesigned my resume here. I hope you like it. When these sites are done, I’ll get back to focusing on this site so I impress the locals! resume

Teaser — This site isn’t live yet, but lest it linger in anonymity I’ve decided to give you peek. This is non-profit for lost dogs in the famous Printer’s Alley of Music City fame. Apparently there are alot of lost dogs there. I think the legend goes that once a sidewalk singer reaches his/her 10,000th song (thus making them an official Outlier), they transmogrify into stray dogs.
Wait no, I have that wrong. Cause for the Paws is located and funded by Printer’s Alley. Musicians can’t transform. Cause for the Paws finds homes for dogs all across Nashville and have big Pawfests twice a year. The site will be live before the next event.
